Another Try-out session @ Music'scool Waalwijk
Although it was a scorching hot day for Dutch standards I took 3 of my guitars on a trip.
It had been a while since I last visited Music ‘scool in Waalwijk so I took the latest Nessa models and went to see Ron van Beijnen and Thijs de Jong once again to try-out these guitars.
Ron and Thijs had been kind enough to test play two of my previous models last November.
You can find the full article on that afternoon here in the news section.
We all felt another meet up was long overdue and freed up some time in our schedules to talk about and play the newest additions to the Unquendor Guitars family.
Ron started by playing the Fanrnë Nessa with some nice clean sounds and gradually putting some more gain into his sound and really testing every aspect of this guitar.
It was the first time someone did some very deep dives on the tremolo it must have been due to very new strings but unfortunately the guitar went a bit out of tune after the deep tremolo dives.
But after a quick re-tune all was fine and the guitar stayed in tune for the rest of the afternoon.
As soon as Thijs picked up the Celtic Braid Nessa he took on a more classic pose with the guitar.
The cut away at the bottom of every Nessa body makes the guitar sit very comfortable to be played in this position.
Although I brought my camera to shoot some good photos and record some videos it died on me while setting up. Luckily we all carry our smartphones with a camera around these days so I was able to shoot some footage albeit not of the greatest quality.
I still have a lot to learn about shooting videos. When to start recording and when to stop but I will keep on practicing.
We had such a great time playing and talking about these guitars I forgot to take notes and some more pictures.
All in all both Thijs and Ron were so impressed by the sound and quality of these 3 guitars we decided on collaborating some more in the near future and do some proper reviews and demo’s on my guitars.
Because pictures and video say more then these words I want to share some short clips I shot with my phone.
